Revitalisation and enhancement of a popular park on Te Awa Kairangi | Hutt River.

Boffa Miskell was commissioned to propose a new master plan for Poets Park, a large public open space on 2.5 kilometres of the banks of Te Awa Kairangi | Hutt River. This is a popular recreational area, with generous open spaces, swimming holes and walking and cycle trails.

 

The design responds to the open broad scale and naturalised setting, featuring boulders, large timbers rugged concrete blocks and extensive native plantings to enhance a range of trail experiences and outdoor recreation opportunities.
